Warranty
We stand behind the products we sell and aim to provide customers with reliable JDM Toyota components.
Engine & Transmission Warranty
Unless a different warranty period is specifically stated on the invoice or product listing, used engines and transmissions are covered by a 3-month warranty from the date of delivery.
The warranty covers major internal mechanical failure that is directly attributable to a pre-existing defect in the supplied component.
Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, JDM Toyota Garage may, at our discretion:
– Repair the component, or
– Provide a replacement component of the same or equivalent specification.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
– Installation or labor costs
– Towing or transportation costs
– Shipping costs associated with installation or removal
– Normal wear and tear
– Damage caused by incorrect installation
– Damage caused by overheating, lack of lubrication, or improper maintenance
– Modifications or performance upgrades performed after purchase
– Racing, competition, drifting, or other motorsport use unless specifically agreed
– Damage caused by incorrect tuning or ECU calibration
– Damage caused by external components or systems
– Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidents
– Consumable items such as fluids, filters, belts, seals, gaskets, spark plugs, and similar service items unless specifically included in the warranty
Used Engines
Used JDM engines are sold as used components unless specifically advertised as rebuilt, remanufactured, or freshly rebuilt.
Because used engines can have different histories and mileage, we strongly recommend replacing appropriate service items before installation, including fluids, filters, belts, seals and gaskets where applicable.
The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the engine is correctly installed, serviced, lubricated, cooled, and tuned before operation.
Performance & Modified Engines
Performance engines, turbo engines, bridge-port engines, street-port engines, peripheral-port engines, race engines, and other modified components may have different warranty conditions.
Any special warranty terms will be stated on the individual product listing or invoice.
Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has developed a warranty-related problem, contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide:
– Order or invoice number
– Vehicle information
– Engine/transmission or part details
– Description of the problem
– Photos and/or videos showing the issue
– Any relevant diagnostic information
We may request additional photographs, videos, compression-test results, diagnostic reports, or inspection by a qualified mechanic before approving a warranty claim.
Do not disassemble or modify the component before contacting us, as unauthorized disassembly may affect warranty eligibility.
Warranty Resolution
Once a warranty claim has been reviewed and approved, we will work with the customer to determine the appropriate resolution.
Depending on the circumstances and availability, this may include repair or replacement of the affected component.
Replacement parts are subject to availability and may not always be identical to the original component, provided the replacement is of equivalent specification.
Important
Every vehicle and installation is different. Customers are responsible for confirming compatibility before purchasing.
If you are unsure whether an engine, transmission, ECU, or other Toyota component will fit your vehicle, contact us before placing your order. We are happy to help verify compatibility based on the information you provide.
